Herald Review

History

The dedicated journalists of the Herald Review have extended their mission to bring you more quality Herald Reviews, straight to your computer, phone or ipod.  For our new readers, here is a brief history of the Herald Review:

The Herald Review was founded in late November 2006 by a small group of hard-core Herald fanatics.  The idea was born on the porch of the anonymous editors luxury Palymra home, and after the trial print run offices where established in their crawl-space.  The first issue was letter-box distributed in Palmyra.  It was initially received with some confusion, but as popularity grew so did circulation.  Due to high demand which the distribution team couldn’t keep up with, it was then decided to distribute the Review through coffee-houses in and around Fremantle.  In late 2008 it became apparent that sabotage was afoot, as large quantities of the Herald Review were being taken and dumped in the old quarry on Marmion Street.  During this time the Review’s Post Office Box was closed due to unpaid maintenance bills.  Following these tragedies the Review went into hiatus until a generous donation from a dedicated reader allowed the Review editors to get “online”, and relaunch the new face of the Herald Review.  With only two full-time and one part-time staffers remaining after the break, the Review is still struggling, but with the support of our readers, we aim to return to a full staff by January 2012.
